Thoughts for this month’s ipsy bag

My overall opinion on this month’s bag is pretty disappointing. I got a repeat item, the sexyhair: Soy Renewal Beach Spray. I remember reading somewhere that we weren’t supposed to be getting duplicates of items. Clearly that is a false statement since I got 2 of the exact same products! Not saying it’s a bad item, but getting repeats suck! The hairspray itself is pretty wonderful for frizz. I didn’t feel like the MICA Beauty Cosmetics: Tinted Lip Balm in #6 Fiesta was moisturizing at all, despite it being a lip balm. In fact, I would go as far as saying it made my lips more dry. However, it is full of pigment! So maybe apply lip balm beforehand. The ELIZABETH MOTT: Smooth Shadow Creamy Eye Pencil in Penny is really creamy when applied. You’d think it would fade immediately after application, but it has pretty good staying power. Sparkles not so much of a fan, but it’s do-able!! I kind of like this eye pencil! Absolute!: Makeup Cleansing Tissues (10 tissues) was totally not expected. I could grab regular tissues wipe without smelling the awful smell and just as effective. Totally not recommended. Lastly, the LeeAnni Eco: Revolution 3 in 1 feels ultra greasy on the face, but applying just a teensy bit covers a good surface area. The packaging gets like a 0.2/10 (it had some kind of dirt inside..and was half filled). I have yet to break out, but breaking out seems to be the next step since the product feels pretty greasy even after an hour. It might be good for these dry winter days though! All in all, this was a terrible ipsy bag to start the new year with. I wasn’t too happy with it but there are some items in here that I don’t mind too much. Let me know what you thought of your products!

Thoughts for this month’s ipsy bag

I’m going to start off with how much I love the bag. It by far is the most normal looking bag I’ve received and I love it for this. I can use this bag to carry items without people staring at me! It’s nice and discreet when I pull it out! Secondly, I immediately tried the Cailyn tinted lip balm and I am in love. The colour is a little bright, but it’s definitely a quick save when you need to transition from a work day to a night event! Lines the lips beautifully! The nail polish is a bit dark for me, but I’m going to say it’ll be perfect for Halloween since it’s almost a deep burgandy-purple-ish colour! Mascara and Eyelines don’t really ever fail, but I have yet to try these so I can’t comment! And again, I’m not a fan of shiny stuff, so the NYX nutmeg eyeshadow doesn’t do it for me =( Hope you enjoyed this review! Until next month!
